Jack's Gully has been continuing to provide organic beef and lamb, although large offerings and been scaled to better align with seasonal logistics and sustainable stocking in some "interesting" climatic conditions. With produce offerings less frequent, loyal customers have been a priority, however if you would like notification on availability, please contact us. (14th Dec 2022) Pork Pork Pork! With careful raising and a daily organic feed-out, Jack's Gully is extremely proud to offer our limited-release Pork Boxes. Organic pork can be difficult to source, and our 5kg boxes containing a variety of portions and cuts at $110 are well priced for customers in the current market conditions. (12th Dec 2015) Autumn Orders 2015 JGO is ready for autumn orders. Whether it's beef cuts for a delightful BBQ dinner or lamb as a lovely lunch on these superb autumn days, you are in for an organic treat. Lamb boxes will be available before Easter and we suggest pre-ordering as they do sell out quickly and supplies are limited. The technical term for this is "the seasons", with our organic stock reaping the benefits, and, in keeping with many hundreds of years of tradition, we call this "farming". JGO has decided on one winter release before hunkering down until later in spring. You will need to pick up your box on Saturday 15th 10am-1pm, either at Ethic in Woodend or our metro outstation in Heidelberg West. (23rd Apr 2013) Final Orders A small amount of beef boxes are currently on hand for our keen customers. Order soon though! Autumn Offering JGO is undertaking it's last big Beef Box run before resting the stock grasses for winter and preparing for herd breeding season. Beef boxes picked up on the Open Day will be frozen for travelling, so please bring an esky (we'll put your order "on the rocks" and add some ice!). (26th Oct 2012) Delivery to your door! Open Day 2013 - ReportJack's Gully Organics held our 2nd Open Day on Sunday, 1st December. Following on from our Open Day the previous year, friends, supporters, and customers (many all 3!) enjoyed checking out Jack's Gully and seeing farming life from the inside.
It was great to share the area with many who visited, and provide an overview of farming organically. The chickens, lambs, calves, and alpacas were a hit with many of the kids, but the highlight for all was the biodiversity and guided nature walk in the bushland. Since the Open Day we've been hay cutting for the winter ahead, and expanding our animal stock - but more news on that soon! |
